If you are looking for an opportunity to really make a difference, apply now to join our great shipboard staff as a Hotel Director!! As the Hotel Director you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling the operation of the on board hotel organization.
Responsibilities will include:
â?˘ Directing the function of all hotel personnel through the management of department heads.
â?˘ Recruiting, motivating, and developing staff.
â?˘ Establishing and maintaining employee relations, including regular department head meetings to ensure optimum teamwork and productivity.
â?˘ Ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction including resolving guestsâ?? problems.
â?˘ Implementing the business and operating budget and competitive program plans to ensure on an on-going basis optimum total guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability.
â?˘ Analyzing established goals and objectives compared to actual results and implementing recommendations to achieve projected goals.
â?˘ Monitoring cash management programs and purchasing practices.
â?˘ Allocating funds, authorizing expenditures, and assisting in planning departmentsâ?? budgets.
â?˘ Establishing and maintaining a prominent level of visibility and involvement throughout the vessel, as well as conducting regular inspections of facilities.
â?˘ Participating with the corporate office in monitoring present and future trends, practices and systems in the hospitality and cruise industries.
All applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
â?˘ Have the ability to innovate and problem solve, transform both qualitative and quantitative data into actionable reports, plan and implement new initiatives that drive revenue.
â?˘ 5 or more years of management experience in an upscale hotel or cruise ship in the areas of food and beverage, guest relations, housekeeping, entertainment or human resources.
â?˘ Be able to speak, read, and write English
â?˘ Bachelorâ??s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
â?˘ Applicants must be able to accommodate a 4 months on / 2 months off contract schedule
â?˘ Meet all physical requirements.
