Job Description:
Position:Maintain clean and orderly tables and organise station. Prepare a good mis-en-place to ensure that his/her station is ready when guests arrive. Be by his/her tables ready to pull the chair for the ladies when guests arrive and depart. Provide personalised service, through use of guest names and noting guest preferences. Assist guests in ordering by describing the menu. Take guest orders, obtain orders from the galley and ensure prompt delivery to guest. Ensure that guest requests, beverages, condiments, etc. are promptly fulfilled. Assist F&B Controller during storing when required. Perform luggage handling duties when required. Perform embarkation and debarkation duties when required. Perform general cleaning and maintenance according to USPH standards. Handle all of the ships equipment with utmost care and report any faulty/broken equipment. Assist management with training and induction of new personnel. Maintain clean uniform and tidy appearance, hair, nails, etc. at all times.
Reports to Maitre d'Hotel.
Qualifications:
Extremely polished professional with a positive and flexible attitude. Strong communication and social skills. Ability to perform well under pressure. Ability to work with an international crew.
Fluent English and conversational in one or more of the following languages; German Italian French or Spanish

Experience:
Min 3 years experience in 5-star operation; hotel restaurant or luxury cruise liner. Strong knowledge of international cuisine. Prefer candidtes to be European trained. STCW certified preferred.
