If you are looking for an opportunity to really make a difference, apply now to join our great shipboard staff as a Waiter!! As a Waiter you will be responsible for providing friendly and professional service to the guests in the restaurant and buffet area, anticipating and fulfilling their needs.
Responsibilities will include:
• Must be knowledgeable about all of the menu items and ingredients and be able to describe them to the guests.
• Ensures guests are completely satisfied with the food and service and reports to the Assistant Maître d’ any special requests or complaints made by the guests.
• Reports for duty at assigned times following his/her supervisor’s instructions according to company policies.
• Performs any additional duties required by the Restaurant Manager’s schedule.
All applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a food preparation/service position in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• Must have the physical ability to carry 16 covers (15-20 Kg.; approximately 44 pounds). For female Dining Room Waiters, 12 covers only.
• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements.
• Be able to speak, read, and write English
• Applicants must be able to accommodate a 7 months on / 2 months off contract schedule
