Job Description:
EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCED MULTI-UNIT BAR MANAGER ON BOARD CRUISE SHIP AIMED PRIMARILY AT BRITISH MARKETYou will be responsible for the operation of all the bars, lounges and beverage service in the restaurants and on decks. Your success will be measured on your ability to optimise revenue and deliver an excellent standard of service. To achieve this you will require the skills to lead and motivate a team of 50 people, and a complete understanding of running a large bar operation.
In order to train your team and meet the high demands of this position you will need:
• The ability to work under pressure - every night is a Saturday night on board!! • Extensive product knowledge - from the latest new world Merlots to the contents of a Woo Woo • An enthusiasm for maximising profit through product development and promotions • A good knowledge of public health and sanitation regulations
Previous ships experience preferred but not essential
Previous experience in a busy 4/5 star hotel environment, as a bar manager, supported by good IT skills and a proven track record
Salary : 114 pounds / day
Contract : 4-6 months
Officer status.
