WGM Shipping Co. (UK) has established a Representative office in Yangon since 1993 and has been representing crew recruitment services for Myanmar Seafarers in the Merchant Marine Market. This company is legally approved and acknowledged by the Seamen Employment Control Division (S.E.C.D), Department of Marine Administration, Ministry of Transport, Yangon, Myanmar.
Myanmar seafarers hold all necessary certificates in order to certify their qualifications in accordance with STCW-95 and ISM-Code certification, corresponding to their ranks and types of vessel from Department of Marine Administration and University of Marine Technology, Ministry of Transport, Yangon, Myanmar. The refreshing courses and knowledge of English is compulsory and provide technical / ISM/ SMS and BTM courses also.
Due to the rising demands of Myanmar Seafarers in the merchant marine market, we have expended our office in JAPAN for Asia Pacific Region from September 30th, 2002.
Our basic philosophy is to provide an efficient, skilled crews to merchant marine market with well-disciplined, experienced International Class Myanmar Marine Officers and Crews for Deck and Engine and Galley.
